Temecula, CA September 29, 2026 –(PR.com)– When Hodson P.I. launched its first Truth & Integrity Scholarship, the plan was to select one student. More than 50 applications arrived in three months, and the students’ stories prompted the firm to do something extra.
Alongside inaugural scholar Melissa Chai, Hodson P.I. awarded two additional scholarships to Louie Teed and Rachel Ingels.
Melissa stood out for her leadership, advocacy, and service. Her experience includes representing thousands of students and creating opportunities for others in her community.
Louie will attend Indiana University on a pre-law path. He has paired service and mentoring with an interest in solving practical problems, including developing a tool to make complex SEC filings easier to understand.
Rachel attends Michigan State University’s James Madison College, where she is studying Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and Criminal Justice in preparation for law school. Her application reflected a commitment to advocacy and to helping others be represented and heard.
“When we started reading the applications, it became clear that selecting one student would mean passing over other remarkable people,” said Justin D. Hodson, CPI, founder of Hodson P.I. “Melissa, Louie, and Rachel have different goals and experiences, but each has shown a willingness to use their abilities for others. That is what we hoped this scholarship would recognize.”
The Hodson Truth & Integrity Scholarship supports students interested in legal, claims, or investigative careers. Its selection committee considered applicants’ leadership, accountability, service, and the choices that demonstrate character beyond academic achievement.
Hodson P.I. thanks its inaugural selection committee for the time and care members gave to reviewing the applications.
