SCE Event Group founder Jason Jani joins cast of Netflix’s Wonka’s The Golden Ticket

SCE founder Jason Jani joins Netflix’s Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, competing with Nick Spinelli in a high‑stakes adventure through the Chocolate Factory.

FREEHOLD, NJ, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — DJ Jason Jani, owner of New Jersey-based SCE Event Group, joins the cast of Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, premiering on Netflix September 23. Jani and DJ Nick Spinelli form one of 12 teams competing for what the show calls a “lifetime supply of money.”

Spinelli worked with Jani for 10 years at SCE Event Group. While many applied to join the series, only 12 people received the Golden Ticket, and each could bring one partner. Says showrunner Alison Holloway, “The contestants received a chocolate bar, but they didn’t know until the point at which they opened it whether there was a golden ticket inside.”

While Jani was DJing a wedding at Tillinghouse at Suneagles in Eatontown, NJ, Spinelli surprised him with the Golden Ticket and invited him to be his partner in the competition. “I’ve played over a thousand weddings,” recalls Jani. “Every one of them was somebody else’s moment. That was the first time in fifteen years the thing happening on the floor was happening to me.”

In this high-stakes reality competition, contestants navigate a series of temptations designed to challenge them physically, mentally, and morally. “As a team, we balance each other out, and we have the ability of working through anything presented and have a great time regardless of the situation,” says Jani.

Wonka’s The Golden Ticket features the recreated voice of Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. With the consent of Wilder’s estate, the series honors the actor’s legendary performance that has enchanted generations since the movie’s release in 1971. The show also welcomes back Rusty Goffe to the Chocolate Factory in his reprised role as an Oompa Loompa.
