RackN Digital Rebar 4.17 scales Multi-Site Manager to 50,000 servers, moves EIKON image deployment to production, and gives pipelines a resume.
AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — RackN today released Digital Rebar 4.17, the latest version of its infrastructure automation platform for bare metal, edge and distributed data center environments. Most automation spending in this industry still goes toward the first hour a server is alive. Digital Rebar has spent over a decade betting on what happens after that, what RackN calls Day 2, and 4.17 is its biggest release yet for operators managing infrastructure at scale.
Multi-Site Manager’s replication engine was rebuilt to cache and pull data on demand instead of streaming every update, cutting its memory footprint and targeting 50,000 servers under a single pane of glass. EIKON, RackN’s own image deployment engine, reaches full production status and becomes the recommended path going forward, with the older Curtin-based path now deprecated (no removal date set). Provisioning pipelines gained tracked, recoverable phases, so a failure partway through resumes where it broke instead of restarting the machine. A new Operator role streamlines the interface for day-to-day fleet management, and Content Archive reaches general availability for packaging and moving content in airgapped environments.
