Tammy Furlong, Chief Financial Officer
Furlong joins at a moment of real momentum for Nord Quantique. The company was the first to demonstrate a 1:1 logical-to-physical qubit ratio, sharply reducing the error-correction overhead that has held the field back, and recently became the first to implement the Tesseract code. Its pioneering use of bosonic codes at the qubit level builds intrinsic error protection into the hardware itself, cutting the complexity that conventional approaches require to achieve the same result. That work has attracted support from leading government programs, including DARPA and Canada’s Quantum Champions initiative.
“Tammy joins Nord Quantique at a pivotal moment,” said Julien Camirand Lemyre, CEO and Co-founder of Nord Quantique. “Her experience guiding companies from breakthrough technology to industrial scale is exactly what we need as we move toward delivering efficient and scalable quantum computers. She brings the financial discipline and strategic perspective to match the ambition of what we’re building.”
Furlong brings more than 25 years of experience guiding public and pre-IPO companies through critical phases of growth and industrialization, with senior finance roles across biotech, technology, and professional services in North America and internationally. She joins Nord Quantique from Elevation Oncology, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing precision medicines, where she served as CFO. Prior to Elevation, she was Vice President of Finance at American Tower, an S&P 100 global infrastructure leader.
“Nord Quantique is at the stage where we shift from proving the technology to scaling the company around it,” said Furlong. “That means building the financial infrastructure, capital strategy, and operational discipline to support a multi-year roadmap without losing the focus that got the team here. It’s what I find most rewarding, and Nord Quantique has assembled exactly the kind of team you want around you for work like this.”
Furlong holds an M.B.A. from Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business, a B.S. in Accounting from Adelphi University, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Boston University Metropolitan College. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Massachusetts and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute.
About Nord Quantique
Founded with the vision of reinventing computing from the qubit up, Nord Quantique advances quantum error correction and scalable architectures toward commercially viable, fault-tolerant quantum computers. By embedding quantum error correction directly into each qubit using superconducting bosonic codes, the company enables a 1:1 logical-to-physical qubit ratio. This unique approach delivers scalable performance, fast clock rates, and an efficient energy and physical footprint—unlocking a clear path to useful, error-corrected quantum computers.
